Mostly asked questions

  • Do I need a Stripe account to use Wirize?

Wirize has been built on top of Stripe (the payment gateway) to process credit and debit card payments. You need a Stripe account to transfer funds from Wirize to your bank account, to manage refunds and to fill out some important information about your business.

  • What’s the difference between Wirize and Stripe?

Wirize is ready-made payment tool that enables everyone to start accepting payments online without code knowledge or a website. Instead, Stripe provides APIs that web developers can use to integrate payment processing into their websites and mobile applications.

  • How much does Wirize cost?

Wirize is free to use till in beta. You’re going to pay just the regular Stripe fees per successful transaction (2.9% + 30¢ for international cards, 1,4% + 30¢ for European cards).

  • Is Wirize safe?

Thanks to Stripe, Wirize exceeds the most stringent security standards in online payments. If you’re interested, you can learn more at Security at Stripe.

  • What’s a payment link, and how does it work?

A payment link is a sharable checkout that lets you sell digital goods and services for multiple customers on Wirize. In order to create a payment link, you just need to set-up a price, a service description, and you’re done.

  • What’s a one-time payment, and how does it work?

A one-time payment lets you collect money for a single payment (e.g a client invoice).

In order to create a one-time payment, you need to set-up a price, a payment description and a few information about the payer.

For every new payment, Wirize automatically sends a payment request if the payer email has been provided, and it also generates a link, in case you would like to send it directly.

  • How can I get paid on Wirize?

You can collect payments via debit and credit card. Furthermore, Wirize doesn’t require a payer registration like other common payment tools.

  • Can I refund a payment?

Wirize isn't directly in charge of refunds, but you have the ability to refund payments either in whole or in part through your Stripe dashboard. Specifically, you can submit a refund request to your customer’s card issuer, and once issued your customer sees the refund as a credit in approximately 5-10 business days!

  • How can I withdraw my payments?

Stripe automatically transfers the funds you’ve collected through Wirize to your bank account on a 7-day rolling basis.

You can manage your own payout schedule, and view a list of all of your payouts via the Stripe dashboard.
